Static QR: the payload is stored in the image. It cannot be edited later and this site does not count scans.

How it works

The tool builds a ZXing-compatible WIFI:T:<auth>;S:<ssid>;P:<password>;H:<hidden>;; string and encodes it as a static QR. Auth values are WPA, SAE, WEP, or nopass.

Input and output

Input is network fields. Output is a static QR plus the constructed payload for inspection.

Examples

Home WPA2

SSID HomeNet, WPA, a password that includes a semicolon — the tool escapes it.

Guest open

SSID CafeGuest, nopass, no password field.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter the SSID and choose the security type.
  2. Enter the password unless the network is open.
  3. Mark the network hidden if devices should not see it in a scan list.
  4. Download the code and reset when you are done.

Limitations

  • Phones still have to support Wi-Fi QR join. Some older devices do not.
  • This does not configure the access point or prove the password is correct.
  • The printed code reveals the password to anyone who can scan or photograph it.

Questions

Is the Wi-Fi password uploaded?

No. The password never leaves this browser session. Reset empties the field. There is no account or log.

Which security type should I pick?

WPA covers most WPA/WPA2-PSK networks. SAE is WPA3. WEP is legacy. nopass is an open network and must not include a password.

Why do special characters matter?

SSID and password characters \ ; , : and " are escaped so phones parse the WIFI: string correctly.
